He earned Central Florida's trust one newscast at a time. Now he wants to earn it in Congress.
For 14 years Ryan Elijah sat at the Fox 35 anchor desk and told Central Florida the truth, even when it was hard to hear. He exposed scams and got money back for families who had been cheated. He covered the hurricanes, the crime, and the rising cost of living from the ground, not from a studio in Washington.
He and his wife Tasha are raising their two boys in Seminole County, where they are active in their church. His father and grandfather both served in the military. When Ryan decided to run, Governor DeSantis, both of the district's sheriffs, and Republicans across Florida lined up behind him. In August he beat a sitting congressman by 13 points.
In Washington, Ryan will go after the cost of living, the scammers who prey on seniors, and the illegal immigration that undercuts Florida workers. He will stand with the police and the veterans who keep this country safe. That is a voice worth sending to Congress.
